We are used to hearing stories and news about Filipinos being embarrassed and abused by their employers abroad. What’s not common is hearing stories of an OFW, degrading and arguing with his/her co-OFW. However, it is exactly what happened to this Pinay teller and another OFW in Hong Kong.
Both of them traveled thousands of miles and left their families in the Philippines just to work and earn big abroad, and yet, there they are, arguing because of a simple matter.
Today, OFWs are considered as the modern hero. Whatever your job is, if you are working abroad for your family then you better consider yourself as a hero.
However, not every OFW you meet abroad is nice. Just like this certain Pinay teller who happens to be the opposite of what people expect from Filipino workers abroad.
A Pinay teller captured the attention of the netizens online after she had a heated argument with another OFW. The argument started when the customer asked her why she sent the money via Cebuana Lhuillier without asking her whether she should send it via Cebuana or Palawan Express.
According to the reports, the OFW who was sending the money was in a hurry since the money would be used for emergency purposes to send a loved one to the hospital. However, the Pinay teller had the most disturbing and infuriating response you’d ever hear.
She said, “Hindi ka nakakaintindi. Huwag ka na lang kumibo kase bobo ka talaga.”
The argument didn’t end there for both of them are already furious and the Pinay teller even threatened her and told her that she could have her deported.
No matter who’s at fault in this incident, employees should know how to handle a customer and also, rude employees should be punished for misbehaving.
